Qandeel Baloch's brother sentenced to life for her murder

The Kandel Baloch murder case was transferred to the court on August 3, where the hearing took place on a daily basis Aslam Mahra, the father of Kandel Baloch, the plaintiff of the case, named his three sons Waseem, Arif and Aslam Shaheen along with Mufti Abdul Qawi, Haq Nawaz, Abdul Basit and Zafar. Waseem, the main accused in the case, committed Iqbal crime by giving self-arrest to the police the day after the murder. However, he later turned away from his confessional statement. Her parents submitted their three sons' forgiveness request to the court which was rejected by the court. In 2016, Pakistan's parliament passed an amendment to the honor killings after a campaign in response to the assassination of Kandil Baloch. According to which, the killers will be sentenced to life imprisonment or 25 years imprisonment despite being pardoned by the relatives. Qandeel Baloch was killed in Muzaffarabad area of Multan on the night of July 15, 2016.
